Immunizations

Employee Health Services offers routine vaccinations for staff.

The development and implementation of routine immunization has been one of the most important scientific achievements in the history of medicine. Diseases that were once rampant and/or devastating to human populations have either disappeared (like smallpox and polio) or have been greatly diminished (like measles, mumps and hepatitis B) as a result of vaccinations.

Common diseases including pneumonia, meningitis, influenza, human papilloma virus (which is a cause of cervical cancer in women) and shingles are preventable with vaccines.

Certain vaccines may need to be repeated at regular intervals, such as tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis, while others require only one dose.

Employee Health Services offers vaccinations in order to optimize the health of Temple employees, their families and our community.

Employees who would like to be up-to-date with current vaccine recommendations can complete the following steps.

    1. Please consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendations regarding vaccination.
    2. Call Employee Health Services and tell us which vaccines you need.
    3. When the vaccines arrive, we will reach out to schedule an appointment for you to receive them.
