Bringing students, faculty, staff and visitors back to a healthy and safe environment on campus is a goal that Dozie Ibeh, TYL ’01, associate vice president for the project delivery group, has been helping the university achieve since it moved to remote learning last spring.

In this video, learn how Temple is implementing important public health measures to protect our entire community.

You’ll see how Temple has installed hand sanitizing stations in buildings across campus, posted signage that encourages healthy behaviors and placed floor decals to indicate traffic flow in stairwells and occupancy requirements in common areas. And, you’ll find out how Temple has de-densified classrooms to maintain six feet of distance between desks or workstations, activated continuous cleaning and disinfecting of high touch areas, and improved air quality through enhancements to ventilation systems.

All of these efforts, in addition to adherence to the four public health pillars, are vital for providing the on-campus experience so many want for the fall semester. Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols and updated ventilation systems only work if everyone wears their mask at all times and keeps furniture arranged in a way that promotes physical distancing. 

Ibeh and his dedicated team have worked tirelessly to physically transform Temple so we can be together this fall. We all have to do our part to make sure we can stay together.
