Make a Difference in Workplace Well-Being 

Are you passionate about health, wellness, and creating a positive workplace culture? Become a Well-Being Ambassador and help inspire your colleagues to prioritize their physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. 

What Is a Well-Being Ambassador? 

Well-Being Ambassadors are employees who volunteer to support and promote workplace well-being initiatives. They serve as wellness champions within their departments, helping to connect colleagues with resources, encourage participation in programs, and foster a culture of well-being. 

What is the role of an ambassador? 

As a Well-Being Ambassador, you will play an important role in promoting a culture of health, wellness, and engagement throughout Temple University.  Ambassadors are tasked with encouraging and communicating information about well-being events and programs throughout the year. 

We are looking for individuals who: 

  • Have a passion for health and well-being 

  • Enjoy connecting with and motivating others 

  • Are good communicators and team players 

  • Demonstrate positive leadership and communication skills 

  • Are committed to supporting a healthy workplace environment 

As a Well-Being Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Attend periodic ambassador meetings and training sessions 

  • Learn about well-being and benefit resources and how to access them 

  • Promote wellness programs and events 

  • Encourage participation in health and well-being initiatives 

  • Share wellness resources and information with colleagues 

  • Help create a supportive and positive workplace culture 

  • Gather feedback and suggestions from your team 

  • Can dedicate a small amount of time each month to ambassador activities 

Time Commitment 

The expected commitment is approximately 1–2 hours per month, which may include: 

  • Attending ambassador meetings 

  • Sharing communications with your department/unit teams 

  • Supporting events and campaigns  

  • Providing feedback on wellness initiatives

Frequently Asked Questions 

Is this a paid role? 

The Well-Being Ambassador role is voluntary and intended as a professional development and engagement opportunity. 

Do I need wellness expertise? 

No. We are looking for enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to encourage others. 

Can I participate if I work remotely? 

Absolutely. We welcome ambassadors from all work locations and schedules. 

How long is the ambassador term? 

TBD. Ambassador appointments typically last one year, with opportunities to continue.
