For nonemergency treatment, injured employees can be seen at Employee Health Services or by one of the physicians on Temple University’s Workers’ Compensation Panel. If an injury occurs after office hours or if the injury is severe, employees should seek medical attention at the nearest emergency room.

For needle sticks or other sharps injuries involving possible exposure to blood or body fluids at the Health Sciences Center, employees should report to Occupational Health Services at the address listed below for evaluation and treatment.

At Employee Health Services, the objective of the workers’ compensation visit is to assess and treat on-the-job injuries and then determine what work restrictions, if any, would be required during treatment of the injury. The process may also involve referral to other medical specialists as needed.
